Produit par le créateur de Godzilla, Tomoyuki Tanaka et réalisé par Koji Hashimoto, l'image ramène l'uber-kaiju à l'antagoniste ultime qu'il a toujours voulu être. Regardez-le dévaster Tokyo après avoir été ressuscité par un volcan sous-marin et vibrez au son de la partition musicale dramatique et explosive de Reijiro Koroku ! Ayant déjà travaillé avec Hayao Miyazaki et Isao Takahata du Studio Ghibli, Koroku était le choix parfait pour marquer le retour triomphal du Big G, créant pas moins de trois thèmes pour le kaiju préféré de tous. écoutez les basses fréquences grondantes et les puissantes attaques de cuivres alors qu'il ravage une centrale électrique et combat les Forces d'autodéfense japonaises (JSDF) et se pâme sur le thème de l'amour pour Maki et Naoko. Koroku a également écrit des pièces passionnantes pour le JSDF et le Super-X, une machine particulière conçue pour combattre Godzilla. Pourtant, c'est son respect et sa révérence pour le Big G qui font de THE RETURN OF GODZILLA un tel succès.
