Impressively orchestrated and lyrical, music has been a core part of Animaniacs’ identity since the show’s inception. Original songs have been woven into the DNA of the series and have given it its signature tone – sometimes educational, often irreverent and always, always jaw-droppingly hilarious.
It's surprising that this classic music has never been collected on vinyl. Here at iam8bit, we're teaming up with our friends at WaterTower Music to fix that. Introducing... Steven Spielberg Presents Animaniacs (Soundtrack from the Original Series) Vinyl Soundtrack! Series classics like "Yakko's World" and satires like "I Am the Very Model of A Cartoon Individual" are all represented here, performed by the Animaniacs themselves and presented in all their glory on classic black vinyl.
But what would Animaniacs be without the cel-tacular cartoons inspired by the golden age? We tapped an absolutely prolific cabal of iconic Animaniacs animators, old and new: character artist Dan Haskett, whose work includes classics like Scooby-Doo! and Looney Tunes; storyboard artist Tony Craig, whose credits include Ben 10 and House of Mouse; and Roman Laney, whose credits include El Tigre, Sly Cooper: The Time Thieves, and more. They are giants of American animation, and it is with great humility that we present their creations to you. To ensure absolute historical perfection, the entire project was also creatively led by cartoon expert and Animaniacs revival executive producer Gabe Swarr. It's a totally crazy Animaniacs soundtrack (that's the name of the product!) on vinyl! And that, my friends, is the fact.
