A port to the Japanese Mega Drive under the title P-47 II: The Freedom Star, which would have been Jaleco's first game on that console, was well into development before the project was canceled. Learn all about P-47 II MD Collector - SEGA MEGA DRIVE / GENESIS cartridge!
Compatible with original SEGA Genesis® and Mega Drive consoles and most retro consoles that accept Mega Drive cartridges. The game will run at 60Hz in NTSC version and 50Hz in PAL version.
In homage to the original P-47: The Phantom Fighter arcade game, this cartridge features a transparent black shell, allowing pilots to see the red card inside. Fly with confidence as the cards feature beveled insertion points, gold-plated contacts, and a 5-volt chip.
As with other SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive versions, the inlay artwork is reversible. On one side you'll find the incredible illustration of Tankro Kato and on the other, the tail of your P-47.
The instruction manual contains all the information you need to prepare for takeoff on full-color pages whose quality you can feel as you flip through them.
To protect your game box, your copy comes with an individually numbered sleeve, featuring the main artwork as well as gameplay screenshots on the back - a great addition to your collection!
For the first time, this release will include an 8mm mini-CD of the original soundtrack! Hear the tunes of P-47 II The Freedom Star - a game originally planned for release in 1990.
