Laced has teamed up with Ubisoft and Nintendo to showcase the glorious, award-winning galactic grooves of the latest Mario + Rabbids game.

This is a dream team of composers - the names Yoko Shimomura, Grant Kirkhope and Gareth Coker speak for themselves. Shimomura-san, a 35-year veteran, has worked on many of the most beloved series, including Street Fighter, Mario RPG, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy and more. Kirkhope has created some of gaming's most recognizable and beloved soundtracks, including GoldenEye 007, Banjo-Kazooie and Viva Piñata. A relative newcomer to the trio, Coker has amassed an enviable list of credits, directing the Ori and Ark series and working on Minecraft and Halo Infinite.

All three talents were tactically deployed on the score by audio director Romain Brillaud, bringing different orchestral and electronic sensibilities to the game. Kirkhope retained the "friendly epic" sound of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle and was entrusted with the narrative elements and characters of the sequel's soundtrack. Nothing beats Shimomura-san's orchestral and piano style to rouse the troops, and she composed the battle cues for Sparks of Hope. Coker helped bring new color and emotion to some of the game's settings and boss fights, drawing on styles such as French Impressionism to enrich the music. The entire OST is remarkably cohesive, thanks to the orchestral recording sessions that took place in Tokyo, Japan.

Legendary Nintendo composer Koji Kondo and Super Mario Galaxy co-composer Mahito Yokota supervised the soundtrack.
