Laced has teamed up with Ubisoft and Nintendo to showcase the glorious, award-winning galactic grooves of the latest Mario + Rabbids game.

This is a dream songwriting team - the names Yoko Shimomura, Grant Kirkhope and Gareth Coker speak for themselves. Shimomura-san, 35 years of experience, has touched many of the most popular series, including Street Fighter, Mario RPG, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy and many more. Kirkhope has created some of gaming's most recognizable and beloved soundtracks, including GoldenEye 007, Banjo-Kazooie, and Viva Piñata. Relatively new to the trio, Coker has racked up an enviable list of credits, directing the Ori and Ark series and working on Minecraft and Halo Infinite.

The three talents were deployed tactically on the score by audio director Romain Brillaud, bringing different orchestral and electronic sensibilities to the game. Kirkhope retained the "friendly epic" sound of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle and was entrusted with the narrative elements and characters of the sequel's soundtrack. Nothing beats Shimomura-san's orchestral and piano style to rouse the troops, and it was she who composed the battle signals for Sparks of Hope. Coker helped bring new colors and emotions to some of the game's settings as well as some boss fights, drawing inspiration from styles such as French Impressionism to enrich the music. The entire OST is remarkably cohesive, thanks to the orchestral recording sessions that took place in Tokyo, Japan.

Legendary Nintendo composer Koji Kondo and Super Mario Galaxy co-composer Mahito Yokota oversaw the soundtrack.
