The kingdom of Myrtana is under invasion by a merciless horde of orcs.
Needing a large quantity of magical ores in order to forge weapons of great power against the invaders, King Rhobar II decides to use all the prisoners of the kingdom in the mines of Khorinis.

In order to prevent any escape, the monarch calls on his best magicians to create a magical barrier around the mines. But due to an incident, the magic soon becomes uncontrollable and a mutiny breaks out among the prisoners, creating anarchy where the most dangerous then take control of the mines.

The king now finds himself forced to negotiate with these new leaders, while tension rises among the different factions within the mines. No one suspected that the arrival of a mysterious prisoner would change everything.
