Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition and its official soundtrack offer a reworked but faithful rendition of the original game music. By using a full orchestra, we have preserved the unique and intimate atmosphere of the compositions, often created during improvised sessions. The soundtrack includes new tracks, some recorded with unconventional instruments, celebrating the creativity that made the original 2003 game and the franchise so special.
Beyond Good & Evil - 20th Anniversary Edition and its official soundtrack are a true labor of love that breathes new life into the game's notes and melodies, while staying true to the emotions that resonated with fans back in the day. While we had the means to work with a real orchestra this time around, we were careful to retain the eccentric and intimate feel of the compositions that were, more often than not, the result of impromptu jams and family gatherings around an anvil or a ukulele. This soundtrack is an ode to a kind of colorful, homemade, and unbridled creativity, complemented here by new tracks (including parts recorded on a broken guitar with an unconventional tuning), and the perfect celebration of all the little things that made the 2003 original and this franchise so unique.
