Alwa's Awakening is a retro adventure inspired by 8-bit metroidvania games. You play as Zoe, a heroine sent from another world to bring peace to the land of Alwa. Your journey will be fraught with peril, full of puzzles to solve, dungeons to explore, magical items to acquire, and ancient secrets to uncover. Alwa's Awakening returns to classic platforming games with controls that are easy to learn, but hard to master. Throughout this adventure, you'll meet all sorts of interesting characters, navigate dangerous dungeons, and uncover incredible secrets as you try to save the land from extinction.
Alwa's Legacy is a beautiful neo-retro sequel that expands on the classic gameplay of its predecessor. Polished with graphics inspired by the 16-bit era, Alwa's Legacy blends classic pixel art aesthetics with new visual flourishes such as a realistic lighting system. It also adds more modern game design principles, such as a new character leveling system that allows you to refine your playstyle, centered around offensive, defensive, and exploratory skill sets. Using magical upgrades, new paths can be found as you explore the non-linear, interconnected world by summoning blocks to climb, bubbles to bounce on, and lightning bolts to attack.
