A good photo tour isn’t complete without the addition of some catchy music, and the fresh sounds of developer/publisher Something We Made’s game TOEM certainly fit the bill. From breezy acoustic melodies punctuated by whistled choruses to whimsical electronic beats that would do a vintage omnichord proud, TOEM’s music has all the artisanal charm of the game’s universe translated into pure audio bliss.
So iam8bit jumped at the chance to immortalize composer Jamal Green's soundtrack on a 2xLP, pressed on classic black vinyl. We've also included, for your enjoyment, a download code for the digital soundtrack.
An adventure as special as TOEM demands a unique approach to packaging and presentation. That’s why we asked artist Nuri Durr to create a cover inspired by a photo album. On the outside, a humble faux-folio, embellished with gold embellishments and a rustic leather look. On the inside, it’s filled with—what else?—photos of all your favorite memories from the game, so you can relive them over and over again while listening to the soft, peaceful music of TOEM.
