Four songs by Old Gods of Asgard have already been streamed millions of times on Spotify. The upcoming album, "Rebirth - Greatest Hits", includes four previously digitally released tracks and four new songs, three of which are featured in Remedy's game "Alan Wake 2". The game is scheduled for release on October 27, 2023. The creation of "Rebirth" was a bit like a star hunt in the seas of imagination. Furthermore, it was extremely rewarding to see the incredible talent and dedication of everyone involved in the project. Everyone gave it their all and really invested themselves," commented the band's singer Marko Saaresto.

Remedy Entertainment is one of Finland's most successful video game companies, and the upcoming game "Alan Wake 2" is one of the biggest Finnish productions of all time. It combines gaming and live action and features many familiar actors from Finland and abroad. The game continues the story of writer Alan Wake, which began in the first "Alan Wake" game in 2010. Marko, Olli and Captain from the Poets of the Fall band appear for the first time in "Alan Wake 2" as characters from the Old Gods of Asgard band.

The band Old Gods of Asgard is therefore a joint creation of Sami Järvi of Remedy and Poets of the Fall, which was first heard in the game "Alan Wake" in 2010.

The band has its own history and mythology in the Remedy game universe. The lyrics of the songs are closely linked to the game's plot and provide clues to the players. The band was last heard in Remedy's 2019 game "Control", with the single song "Take Control" being the first interactive rock song that changes depending on the game's situation during a long fight scene. The collaboration with Remedy began in 2003 with the game "Max Payne 2", which featured the band's first song, the hit "Late Goodbye". It won the "Gaming World Grammy", the GANG Award for Best Pop Song in a Video Game. It was a great start to the band's career and their collaboration with Remedy.
