You can choose to play in assisted mode for a more user-friendly experience, or in "Gimmick!" mode for a challenge faithful to the original game!
As a yokai, Yumetaro has the power to summon and throw a powerful star that bounces and retains momentum as he moves. You can use it to activate switches or defend yourself against enemies. You can even ride the star to reach the most difficult places to access as you explore the world and its secrets.
Learn to master the physics that govern the star's bounces to discover treasures, find shortcuts and beat speed records. Don't hesitate to experiment to exploit its full potential. This is a game with sidereal power!
Legendary soundtrack: Composer David Wise needs no introduction. For the soundtrack of Gimmick! 2, he composed both completely new melodies and revisited well-known classics. Pelle Cahndlerby was artistic director of the soundtrack, the instrumental part of which was recorded in Sweden with the assistance of Joel Bille.
A dive into the past: The original Gimmick! game was released on the Famicom™ in 1992. It was localized and distributed in the West, but only in Scandinavian countries. This particularity, together with the physics engine and the game mechanics that were far ahead of their time, contributed to the popularity and legendary character of this game. With Gimmick! 2, there is no longer any shadow on the picture: everyone will have the opportunity to discover this astral game.
