In his quest for power, the 12th king of Boletaria, King Allant, appropriated the ancient soul arts, awakening a demon as old as the world, the Ancient One. A thick fog and nightmarish creatures thirsting for human souls invaded the region following the awakening of the Ancient One. Those whose souls had been stolen by the creatures went mad, their only desire now being to attack the few remaining sane survivors. Boletaria is now cut off from the outside world. The knights who dare to venture into this thick fog in the hope of delivering the land from this ordeal never come out. A lone warrior braving the deadly mist, you must face the most insurmountable trials to earn the title of Demon Bane and return the Ancient One to its eternal slumber.
