You will travel to a small village populated by magical girls and other fantastical friends, and where you will be the head of a dilapidated cat café. Manage your café by filling it with beautiful furniture, pretty decorations, mouth-watering pastries, and bring it to life with animals!

Calico's character creator will allow you to create your own magical character to discover the world through. There will also be plenty of clothing items to choose from and collect throughout the game!

You can interact with any animal you come across, and there are many in the world of Calico. Once they are your friends, you can give them a name, invite them into your party, or make the café their new home. The animals that are part of your party will follow you around and obey you.

In addition to adding animals to your group, you will be able to play with them with toys, dance and lounge around, but also cuddle them, pet them, carry them and pamper them.

If your mission in Calico is to bring the town's café back to life, it's not enough to just bring cats and animals into the café. You also need to decorate your café by filling it with furniture and toys! A complete system will allow you to obtain and arrange furniture, decorative objects, and toys. Some furniture is intended for the café's human customers, while others are for your animal friends (cat trees, scratching posts, and kennels, to name a few!).

You will be able to customize certain pastries and drinks

Create a wonderful café by preparing delicious pastries and drinks for the townspeople! A system will allow you to create a drink menu as well as pastries that you will place in the café's windows. You will be able to personalize some pastries and drinks. For example, you will be able to draw on the surface of macarons to decorate them.

Magic potions allow you to break the rules and find what would be the most fun. For example: the “More-to-pet” potion allows the player to make an animal giant! You can hang out with a giant animal, and even ride around on a cat!
