Borderlands was a hit when it was released in 2009, merging first-person shooter with role-playing elements, all wrapped up in a framework that offered both single-player and multiplayer experiences, with tons of different weapons, and a story that smells of gunpowder! Fans would continue to come back to the game, thanks to numerous DLCs that expanded the universe and the cast of characters.
Each member of the Borderlands soundtrack team has contributed their own unique touch. Legendary composer Jesper Kyd (Assassin's Creed, Hitman) will set the tone with heavy, dusty percussion mixed with Wild West-style guitars. Sascha Dikiciyan & Cris Velasco (who worked on Mass Effect 3, God of War 3, and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided) will bring the grittiness and danger to the heart of the fights. Raison Varner, a long-time contributor, will have helped create exotic battle tracks, and, alongside Tim Larkin (DoTA 2, Artifact), will create some of the more ambient and atmospheric tracks.
Thirty tracks from the soundtrack, including bonus tracks not previously released in physical format, have been specially remastered for this vinyl, and pressed on 180g LPs. They will be protected by a sleeve decorated with artwork created in collaboration with the Gearbox art team.
