The complete 35-track soundtrack has been specially mastered for vinyl and will be pressed on heavyweight vinyl records. These are presented in printed inner sleeves, accompanied by a liner notes insert (with messages from the composer and audio director), all placed in an expanded outer sleeve with an illustration created by the team at Red Barrels.

Composer Tom Salta (Deathloop, PUBG, Halo) is a master of modern composition techniques and 20th century period music. The Outlast Trials features a diverse horror soundtrack, with chilling audio production and unusual orchestral and musique concrete techniques that serve as the basis for creating moods. These elements are complemented by a faux mid-century jingle, jazzy elevator music, honky tonk piano, and other diegetic ditties. Salta uses the language of music to immerse people in a nightmarish emotional dimension, supporting all the macabre experiences players will encounter.
