Sonic Colors Ultimate Vinyl - 2LP

Through dozens of games - and even genre shifts - it's hard to pick just one, but Sonic Colors is a true underrated gem (originally released for the Nintendo Wii in 2010). A decade later, Sonic Colors: Ultimate and witness a remixed revival of this brilliant entry in the hedgehog's musical lineage, because this is no normal soundtrack. He's an accelerated child prodigy, sprinting quickly and skillfully through worlds as if they were sections in a record store in the Green Hill Zone neighborhood. Each side of the album is a sampler of the style, feverishly pivoting and blending guitar-driven rock, caffeinated ska, keyboard-driven synthesizer, punchy electronics and more – rendered masterfully by video game legends Tomoya Ohtani and Jun Senue. As this is a musical cocktail of many flavors, we thought it was only fitting to offer a variety of vinyl treatments and minimalist, energetic album artwork by Matt Stevenson to perfectly embody this beautiful musical frenzy.
