25 tracks sprinkled with touches of dark fairy tales have been mastered especially for the format and will be pressed on thick LPs. They slip into a luxury double gatefold sleeve decorated with illustrations created by the Capcom team.
In Resident Evil Village, the series returns to a rural European setting, indulging in all the gothic and macabre trappings associated with classic horror literature, mythical creatures, Grimms' fairy tales, and more. Much of the music relies on an orchestral palette, particularly the various creepy, strumming, clawing textures available to the string players, but there are also plenty of synthesizer elements and samples that sound, s 'clang, drive and buzz, as well as some goosebump-inducing uses of voices.
The Village music team was led by veteran Capcom and Resident Evil composer Shusaku Uchiyama (Mega Man series, DMC4), and relative newcomer Nao Sato (Monster Hunter Rise). They were supported by the contributions of Marcin Przybyłowicz (Witcher series, Cyberpunk 2077) for the story book sequence "The Village of Shadows", and Brian D'Oliveira (Resident Evil 7, Shadow of the Tomb Raider) with folk artist Aga Ujma for the wonderful theme song “Yearning for Dark Shadows”.
