Hard West & Hard West 2 (Original Soundtrack) Vinyl - 2LP

With Hard West, Marcin Przybyłowicz (Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Cyberpunk 2077) created the mood of the series, using twisting guitar, pounding drum rhythms, lonesome trumpets and various atmospheric elements. On several of its most distressing lines, snatches of piano, guitar and violin emerge from the echo of the fog to keep the players in suspense, while maintaining the heightened mix of fantasy, horror and aesthetics of the Far west.

For Hard West 2, Jason Graves (Dead Space 1&2, Tomb Raider [2013], Dark Pictures Anthology) is more grumpy, while respecting the sound universe of the original. Through his spartan use of bass guitar, percussion, and spooky synths, Graves taps into a more primal, earthier sound while continuing to layer the acoustic and electric guitars we associate with the dark side of the West.
