Dordogne Vinyl - 2LP

After the colorful “Nekomata” and the energetic “Versions”, SUPERNAIVE presents “Dordogne” (release June 2023), their new hybrid project between video game soundtrack and real album. This first double LP from the two brothers includes 30 tracks, oscillating between melancholy and wonder.

They weave a strong narrative throughout, taking the listener by the hand to introduce them to their unique poetic universe. Childhood is one of the group's recurring themes, which resonates here with Cedric's graphic universe. Babouche through his eponymous video game. “Dordogne” is both the personal story of the SUPERNAIVE and that of many young adults, nostalgic for the happy days spent alongside their grandparents during the school holidays.

Throughout the pieces, the listener will recognize warm sound textures (magnetic tape recorder, tube amplifier), plunging him little by little back into his forgotten youth. The SUPERNAIVE invite the Canadian Joseph Shabason to feature on 4 tracks where he performs fabulous harmonized saxophone solos of which he alone has the secret. Finally, the lyricist (and sister of SUPERNAIVE) Leo Mirage also wrote 4 key pieces of the album, which she performs herself for the first time.
