Iron Wings follows the story of two childhood friends who join the war in a special air force squadron. Led by Colonel David Ruse, their goal is to locate and arrest General Adler as head of the Ahnenerbe, a secret team of Nazi archaeologists and scientists.

While the action unfolds at a fast pace, you will also need to consider some strategy, assigning your partner objectives in order to best succeed in your mission.

Iron Wings is above all an arcade game, an aerial shooting game, where shooting will not be enough, where each weapon, or tool mounted on each of the two planes will have its role to play in the accomplishment of each mission, and you will have to make the decision of what to do and how to do it.

During the flight, you will control the two pilots and their plane, switching from one to the other at any time, and giving commands to the other. Each of the two planes you choose will carry different additional tools to use during the mission.

The wise choice of camouflage will also influence your visibility to enemies, and therefore help you avoid certain damage.
